According to his lawyer, Chris Chambers will plead not guilty to driving while impaired last July. On July 14th, Chambers was pulled over in North Carolina and was charged with DWI as well as reckless driving and speeding. Chambers' lawyer says that his client showed a blood-alcohol level of .06 when he was tested by NC police, which is below the legal limit of .08.
An important factor to keep in mind here is that Chambers has butter fingers. I'm not sure there's a legal term for it but I'm very sure his lawyer can use that in a court of law. I mean, it is North Carolina. I think all Chambers has to do is show Judge Goober his career stats for dropped passes. His lawyer can then say that his client wasn't drunk but, rather, that the steering wheel kept slipping out his client's hands. It's an open and shut case if you ask me. And I would know. I watch a lot of Matlock.
