Joey Porter underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee this morning. There are no other specifics right now but head coach Cam Cameron says that Porter is "not hurt badly."
Porter went to Birmingham, Alabama yesterday to get a second opinion on his sore knee from Dr. James Andrews. Dr. Andrews, an orthopedic surgeon whose practice includes many high-profile athletes, performed the procedure this morning.
The Dolphins are hoping they'll have Porter back in time for the season opener against Washington September 9th.
We'll have more updates when we get them.
