The Dolphins have cut nine players, including once promising defensive tackle prospect, Kevin Vickerson. The Dolphins also cut WR David Sutton, who had a decent training camp early on but failed to impress enough to stick around. The cuts bring the roster to 76, leaving them one over the roster limit they must reach by 4PM Tuesday.
The other players waived: punter Ryan Flinn, kicker Matt Prater, tight end Jason Rader, RB Ray Perkins, safety Chris Vedder, CB Shirdonya Mitchell and safety Chris Harrell.
*Update* My boy Matt over at The Phinsider is reporting that the Dolphins are already down to the required 75 players needed by last Tuesday's deadline. Because some NFL Europe player doesn't count against the roster total. Which begs the question: When an NFL Europe player does anything at all, does it make a sound in the woods? It's really a rhetorical question, my friends.
