The Sun-Sentinel tells us that that Tony Sparano is saying Dolphins starters will be getting more playing time this Saturday at Jacksonville. Also, the Miami Herald tells us that Chads Pennington and Henne will play the majority of the snaps. Then again this is Tony Sparano we're talking about, so don't be surprised if John Beck plays the entire game.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano also made noises -- wanting to see more of safety Jason Allen, wanting to see wide receivers Derek Hagan and Ted Ginn Jr. on more consecutive plays -- that translated as the Dolphins' first teamers playing much more in the second exhibition game, as is typical.
What the fuck kind of sentence is that second paragraph? Tony Sparano made noises? What does that even mean? Did he clap his hands and grunt like a seal? Was he trying to summon the invisible swordsman? If that's the standard over at the Herald, then shit, I wanna work there so I can get paid to cover the Dolphins and then write sentences like, "Bill Parcells baby closet foot sandwich." I'd win the Pulitzer within a year.
Anyway, it's a good move by the team. We need to see more of guys like Hagan. Also Ginn needs to start showing something that resembles a top 10 NFL draft pick while the defensive line needs to show that it can get to the QB.
