Teddy, Teddy, Teddy. What a long way we've come together since Draft Day 2007 when all of FinsNation bemoaned your selection - that of a poor route-running kick returner with a bum ankle - at #9 overall. We waited patiently through your early training camp injury and delayed development. You couldn't get on the field at all for half of the season and then, one of the times you did get out there, you nearly killed our quarterback at the time. You were essentially a non-factor given the very pedestrian numbers you accrued during that disastrous season. You even had a couple of kick returns called back on penalties. Worst of all, many of those struggles continued to persist during the first few games of this season and many of us thought that you were incapable of running erect with the ball even when you did manage to have it.
But Teddy, baby, that's all in the past. I know we've said some not-so-nice things about you on this here blog but I'm going to make it up to you, buddy. Here's how:
I'm inviting you and all of your family to the nearest Shoney's at any of their 11 Florida locations for a one-time, all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Yes, this buffet may set me back a bit considering your formidable family will be consuming that $6.49 bargain price ad infinitum but it's well worth it considering the effort you've been putting on the field in practice and games. It may be a bit high in fat content but you can never turn down a free meal, can ya?
The buffet includes:
- Eggs any style you want
- Crispy bacon
- Juicy sausage links
- Delicious pancakes with syrup right at your table!
- Deliriously soft french toast
- Assorted muffins and bagels to work up those carbs you'll need for the Monday workout session
- Assorted fruits for a well-balanced meal
- Heck, I'll even throw in some ice cream for the kids and give them a free membership to the Kid's Club
- Bottomless soft drinks, juice and coffee
So there you go, Teddy. I hope this makes it up to you and the family somewhat. We're awful glad to have you showing some real glimpses of moxy these past few weeks and here's to hoping this small token of our appreciation goes a long way with you and the family. Hey! Maybe this breakfast can fatten up some of the younger Ginn's while we're at it, eh? We sure could use a couple of linebackers and a right guard! Hehehehehe...
