Playing in the NFL is a privilege. It's a life-long dream realized. Guys work all their lives, grinding it out, building their bodies, learning the game, sacrificing themselves, all to have a shot at being in the NFL. Until said guys arrive at Dolphins camp. And then they're all like, "Fuck this shit! I'm getting a job at Ikea!" The Dolphins have had four players up and quit on them in the past week. One guy didn't even bother to show up. Why? Because Tony Sparano is a bad motherfucker. That's why. But even Dolphins coach Tony Sparano has to admit it's quite odd that FOUR Dolphins have quit the team in the first week.
"I wish I could tell you," Sparano said when asked why. "It might be me! I told you I'm not for every body.
"What these guys are doing out here is really hard, and if your heart isn't into what we're doing, with the heat, the contact, the intensity, it doesn't take long to figure out this isn't for you."
That's true for just about any challenge or obstacle you face. You need to really buckle down and focus and get determined to get through the challenge at hand. Even if you fail. You get up and keep trying. Like me. I once made it through an entire conversation with a girl without throwing up. I'm a man of steel and resolve. Call me, ladies.
