The Miami Dolphins met with Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant on Thursday night in "a get to know you session" that will carry over until Friday, according to league sources. ... Bryant's sit-down with the Dolphins allowed him to state his case. He has a meeting with Parcells scheduled for Friday. Last season, the Dolphins sat down with Patrick Turner and Brian Hartline in a similar setting before selecting those two receivers in the 2009 draft.
Awesome. Good to see the Fins at least making an effort to check Dez Bryant out for themselves on a one-on-one basis. And having him meet with Bill Parcells himself is a pretty big deal.
And the fact that the report says that they met Thursday and it carried over into Friday is pretty interesting. Did they have a sleep over? Did they have a pillow fight? Did they talk about boys and crank call taxi cab companies and order a dozen pizzas to the mean old man's house who lives across the street? Sounds fun! Although my sleepovers are nothing like that. I usually just spray expired Cheeze-Wiz into people's mouths while they're sleeping. Also, I write: "I'M A GIANT WHORE!!! I COME FROM WHORE ISLAND!!!" on their foreheads with a red Sharpie. I think that maybe the ladies don't call me back after they sleep over because they just can't handle all that fun. That's my theory, anyway.
