After spending pretty much the entire first day of free agency trying to acquire Kyle Orton from the Broncos yesterday (*update* still not a Dolphin!), the Dolphins remembered that there are other positions too and went and traded for running back Reggie Bush from the Saints.
Bush has reportedly restructured his contract to two years, $9.7 million. No word yet on what compensation the Saints are getting. But if it includes anything and Phillip Merling, then it's a goddamn steal. Fuck that guy.
Reggie should make a hell of a compliment to rookie Daniel Thomas (who, incidentally, accepted me as a facebook friend the other day! Yay! Look at me!!). And will make a fantastic pass catching back for Henne or Orton or whatever Shitty McShitterson will be our starting quarterback this year.
This most likely spells the end of the Ronnie Brown era. But we lose Black Thunder and get LaMontell Pussyhammer in his place? We'll take it!
Bush is most likely going to be the main dude in the Wildcat. Because we love to run that play into the fucking ground.
Also, for the last few years our offense resembled an old man trying to take a piss. But now, with Reggie on board, we got some speed.
