FoxSports.com Senior NFL Writer Alex Marvez, who used to be a Dolphins beat writer, was on the Joe Rose radio show this morning and -- shocking news! -- he took the same route as every other stodgy, overbearing, fatass, middle aged sports writer in America: He thinks Suck For Luck is dumb.
Marvez then claimed that even if the Dolphins do happen to land the first overall pick and draft Andrew Luck, that there's a strong chance he won't play for them.
"You can't be rooting against your favorite team each week. I gotta be honest with you. There's no guarantee that Andrew Luck would even come to the Dolphins anyway. And I'm being serious when I say that. He controls his fate. If the Miami Dolphins have the first pick, and he's not happy with what the administration is here, if he's not going to be happy with who his head coach is, or what direction this franchise is headed, I can see this guy really easily doing a Manning, trying to go ahead and control his fate in the draft. ... Cheer for this team! Drop the Suck for Luck stuff. It doesn't do any one any good. ... You can't do the Suck for Luck thing. It's counterproductive."
ZOMG you guys! Based on absolutely zero sources and arbitrary groundless opinion, Alex Marvez says there's a very strong chance Andrew Luck won't want to be a Dolphin! Because they're a train wreck, you see. Even though, according to Marvez, they have talent and there's very little chance Ireland will even be here anyway, especially if they do end up losing all their games. So knock it off!
