A lot of people say that NFL owners should stay out of front office affairs and that they shouldn't comment about the Andrew Luck thing because of the integrity of the game. And then Super Bowl winning, Peyton Manning having Colts owner Jim Irsay came out and said that he wouldn't mind having Luck if his Colts continue to be shitty:
“Guys like that come along so rarely,” Irsay said, referring to sure-thing prospects like Manning and Luck.“Even if that means that guy sits for three or four years, you’d certainly think about taking him,” Irsay said. “You see what Green Bay did with [Brett] Favre and [Aaron] Rodgers and you’d like to be able to do the same thing.”
I'm officially scared now.
Mainly because, again, we're the Miami Dolphins and we excel at being awesome and innovative and cutting edge at everything BUT getting awesome football players for our football team.
But I'm also scared because our Gargoyle owner would never come out and say something like this.
The crinkly fucker wouldn't hesitate to come out and announce how he plans on being the first franchise ever to honor the opposing starting quarterback. And he doesn't hesitate to defend his dicksack head coach. But come out and suggest that we might tank the rest of the season because a QB like Luck only comes around once every decade and he's totally worth it? HAMMERCOCKS!
But yea. Let's keep the guys who got us into the shit hole to begin with, win two or three games, get nudged out of the Luck sweepstakes, go into next season with Luke McCown, have another three win season, end up dead last in the AFC East again, and watch as the Colts dominate the NFL for another 16 years. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Oh, and our Think Different Suck for Luck video edited by VinBob made SI.com's Hot Clicks page and is going viral. Does this make it official that DRK and I are total dickjoke geniuses? No. Except that, yes.
