This is allegedly Peyton Manning throwing a football at Duke University the other day. And although it looks like old footgae of Big Foot walking through the woods, it has been confirmed that it is, in fact, Peyton thowing passes and looking like his usual rigtheous gangly badass self.
Which is fantastic news if you're a fan of having good quaterbacks on your team and not settling for puppets or bearded backups or second rounders.
My only question would be if he can sustain throwing passes like this during a game. And -- again -- every doctor that has seen Manning says his neck bones are fine and are in no danger of falling apart like a Jenga game should he take a big hit. The only real question here is whether or not he's gotten his arm strength back, which is a nerve issue. But judging by this 20 second video, the answer seems to be maybe. Also, yes.
So now we wait until Thursday when he's either supposed to be handed 28 million by the Colts, or he walks and let's the bidding for his services begin. There are reports saying that the Thursday deadline could be pushed to Friday, which is bullshit because fuck you guys we have lives to lead over here!
Either way, most seem to be convinced that Peyton's days as a Colt are over. And a lot of folks have the Dolphins as the favories to land his services.
And if that should happen, just remember who broke the story first. Peter King, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen, twitter people with "sources" and every so-called insider-info blogger will then be free to eat a bowl of dicks and dip.
Until then..... we wait.
UPDATE: ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Manning and the Colts have agreed to part ways. Which means shit's about to get bananas. Expect the Dolphins to go after Goose Neck hard. But temper your expectations. Because these things are always so much better just before the news breaks that the guy we wanted decided to go elsewhere.
